This the last page in a quick comic I did a few months ago, mostly for fun. It was a sample comic to test out some techniques and try a couple things, but mainly, it was to help Sofawolf in their latest Secret Project. It's silly, but I figured I'd post it for a change of pace. :]

I'm still engaged in the slow process of coloring the finale to the Dog's Days comic. But the good news is, it will be done and ready for June! Diego will have to get off his fluffy ass and do something...or someone. >;] By the by, I put all the so-far pages of the comic online in an easy to read fashion, here: www.dogsdaysofsummer.com The site is still bare bones, but someday it shall blossom into a beautiful bouquet of pixels. Journey - Cant Repeat by Shade

Been in BC for about 3 months, and -finally- got my PC brought up for me this week, thanks to some very kind friends who were travelling in this direction anyway. So I was finally able to satisfy my need to paint. So I did. The past stretches out behind, but there's no looking back. Run with me awhile. The world should be in widescreen.

Another piece I guess I never uploaded (I suspect it's safe to now, as DragonCon has come and gone.) This was commissioned back in July by the folks of FWA (http://www.furryweekend.com) for use on the interior cover adspace in DragonCon's convention book. FWA's theme this year is Safari, so I figure... what would furries go see on safari? ;] I was sort of hired on last minute and only had a couple of days to get the piece done. I wish I could have had a bit more time to work on it, but, I say that about most things.

So while pondering and pondering of what to draw for Quickxyk I decided to read up on coyote mythology. Coyote stealing fire from the fire beings was a popular Native American story... but I wondered how poor Xyk would manage... Remember, kids. Stop drop and roll.

Here is the completed version of my secondary character, Ilani the Porcupine. Originally, I drew her rather angry looking, since she does have a short temper, however, she ended up looking rather amused. In the background you see Kahle Air Repair, which she owns. He has arrived in California! That little jalopy of his made it all the way from Michigan to California. Unfortunately, when it reached Hollywood, it literally fell apart. Harp believed that the only kind thing to do was to put it out of its misery, and then properly bury it in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale. It was a good little flivver, he will miss it. As the evening was winding down Wastrel asked me about my characters. Aside from my fursuit characters, there are the muck-type and "fursona" characters. Bunnell, my previous FM/fursona, a rabbit (1990-1995) Kohii, my temporary FM/fursona, a coyote (1995-1996) who got totally overshadowed by time Yippee Coyote arrived, in fursuit form. Saguaro is the little coyote, from 1992. I'd never tried drawing teeth on him. His tiny fangs are cute!
